Surprise Trip!

When I got home from girls camp Rangi let me know that he had a surprise trip planned for me (and because we have his sister Roxanne here to help that made it possible to leave the kids.) We left on Friday around 2:00 and started driving when we stayed on the 210 until we had passed all the freeways I assumed we would be taking I asked where we were going, he told me to Ventura. When we got there I asked WHAT we were doing... here it is... we ate dinner that night (CPK) and stayed in a hotel the next morning we woke up early to catch a boat that was taking us to the channel Island- Santa Cruz. Once there we kayaked all around the island, it was awesome!!! We saw tons of huge colorful starfish, 2 jellyfish, tons and tons of dolphins and seals, fish of all colors, pelicans that were not afraid of us, sea caves and tunnels, and huge sting rays all over underneath us and remember that is what finally killed steve erwin so I was a little nervous. All in all it was a great trip very fun and relaxing. FYI The channel Islands are a group of islands about 20-30 miles off the coast of California, that is where an indian girl was left that inspired the book island of the blue dolphins and they are a national park.

An apology

I'm sorry my blog is so outdated, but we have been gone for almost the last month and being pregnant I am trying to survive just getting the essentials done. First we went to Utah, then were home for the 4th and a couple of days later I was off to girls camp ( I am a stake camp director and the primary president right now) but before camp I had a stake baptism our ward was in charge of and sharing time this month. I love my callings but now maybe you all will understand why my blog is so shabby. Once again if you want to hear about our trip you can go to Rangi's blog and check it out (he's inactive) JUST KIDDING, he just has a lot more energy than me.

Rangi is the bomb!

Seriously, I know I am married to him and I am a little biased but he is the best dad and husband. The first picture is of him carrying Rigdon up the hill so he didn't have to unstrap his board (which went on for hours!). Teaching Livi his secret golf swing and look at the smile on his face dancing with Caroline! When it is HER wedding their expressions might be swapped. We Love you Rangi. Also to my own dad I love you, and give you credit for showing me what to expect in a husband. Thanks!

Snoopy snow scam

So for the last day of school I was so excited to give my kids an exact replica of the snoopy snowcone machine that I had as a kid and loved! (I bought this months ago waiting in anticipation for the last day of school). Needless to say we did manage to squeak out 2 1/2 snow cones, the kids were thrilled and it only took about one hour (we had to put the other snow cone in the freezer so it wouldn't melt while we made the other). So much for happy memories of a childhood toy, did I really like that as a kid?

Graduate in '08...

Livi graduated from pre-school and I was lucky enough to be her teacher, it was so fun to spend the last two years teaching her and watching her grow. As always I am so sad to see another one of my kids go to school 5 days a week, they grow up so fast! On the flip side it is fun to watch them grow and see the person they are becoming.

A.R.m

Yes and for those of you that were wondering... Rigdon did break his arm AGAIN, same arm different bone (humerous last time, radius this time, ulna next time J/K I hope!!!) Just jumping off a chair??? Anyway social services hasn't contacted us and he didn't need surgery, so that's good, but let's just say his summer will not be filled with swimming!

Accelerated Reader Banner

Here is a picture of Rigdon with his A.R. banner, he is very proud of himself and we are too. He may not have the most pins, but he loves to read and he's gotten pretty good too.

Photo shoot

This was my first official photo shoot with my new camera. I have a lot to learn, but it was fun, and being their mother I think they look pretty cute.

Text only...

Apparently my blog is turning into a text only blog ( I promise to post a picture soon!). Our internet has been down for two weeks and I swear we are the only people that happens to! Anyway, Some exciting news is that for mother's day, Rangi, Rigdon, Livi, Caroline and President Bush gave me the camera of my dreams, so there really should be some awesome pictures springing up from this site but don't hold your breath! BUT... the most exciting news is that a new member will be joining our family around February 1st, 2009!!! We are all so excited and I have only 40 weeks to go because I found out so freakin early(j/k kinda). Anyway what do you think boy or girl???

I Survived!!!

We are back from our trip to Havasupai and it was awesome! Rangi WAS telling me the truth and after about five hours in the car to recoup from getting ready to leave, I was able to really enjoy the time we had together, even if I was sweating my guts out or freezing. Overall we had a blast, I pushed myself and it was nice to see that I can do something besides vacuum at super speed. I recommend this trip to everyone! Oh and if you want to see the pictures you can view them at Rangi's blog (the link can be found on my blog titled"Rangi's World") and as the title suggests it IS from Rangi's perspective.
